Join us for our upcoming Inform Conference on February 19th with the overarching theme of Equity, Empathy, and Connections and a focus on Urban Design and Raising People Up. This will be a fully in-person event in cooperation with the Anchorage Museum’s Design Week. The event will include keynote speakers, CEU presentations, breakout sessions, and roundtable discussions. We will also have a showcase lunch hour which is organized to provide vendors/reps an opportunity to show innovative products and materials to members of the design community.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Kia Weatherspoon, NCIDQ, ASID
The design voice of impact and change—Kia Weatherspoon, NCIDQ, ASID, has spent the last 15 years defying every design stereotype. The most damaging—interior design is a luxury reserved for a few. Her voice, advocacy for Design Equity™, and design practice have shifted the narrative, making interior design a standard for all. Kia is challenging the lack of these standards in economically challenged communities. Her presence and leadership have created ripples, prompting housing developers, agencies, and industry partners in economically challenged communities to not just take notice of her work—but to do better.
Jon Strassner LEED AP
With over 25 years of industry experience, Jon has brought climate awareness to architects, designers and manufacturers as a founding member of Next Wave Plastics and co-creator of the Break Some Dishes podcast; recognized for thought leadership as an Impact Icon 2022, he helps companies understand their role in sustainability and net positive impact.
