Candidate Statement:
My goal would be to work with the board and community partners to promote and bring awareness to the profession of interior design in Alaska. As a chapter we would continue to work on outreach and educate the public on the impacts Interior Designers have on the health, safety and welfare of occupants in commercial design. I would like to continue efforts to host events that are available for members around the state.

Callie Strobel
Candidate Statement:
I am interested in serving as Membership Director for the ASID Alaska Chapter because I value the connections and opportunities that a strong design community creates. In my role in furniture sales, I work with designers, industry partners, and clients daily, giving me a unique perspective on the relationships that help our profession thrive.
If elected, I would focus on strengthening member engagement, welcoming new members, and creating more opportunities for collaboration across Alaska's design community. I would also like to help build awareness of interior design as a career by engaging with local schools and students. Introducing design at an earlier age can inspire future professionals and help grow the next generation of talent in Alaska.

Marissa Perry
Candidate Statement:
The At-Large Director role interests me because it gives me the opportunity to jump in where I am needed, work alongside others, and be involved in many different aspects of our chapter. After serving in this position for the past year, I have gained a much better understanding of ASID, our Alaska Chapter, and the impact a strong professional community can have. I would like to continue helping build connection within our chapter through events, involvement, and opportunities for members to engage with one another.
As a small chapter, I think there is a lot of value in creating a community where members feel connected, supported, and excited to get involved. As an emerging professional myself, I want to help create stronger connections for others who are early in their careers. Starting out in the profession can come with a lot of questions, and I want ASID Alaska to be a place where emerging designers can learn from others, build confidence in their work, and feel encouraged to get involved. Through another term on the board, I hope to continue learning while bringing energy, a willingness to help, and the perspective of someone at the beginning of their career to our small Alaskan design community.
